I started my career in 2004 practising musculoskeletal therapy within inpatient and outpatient setting helping people prepare for and recover from orthopaedic surgery. I worked  predominately with patients post joint replaced. I also have extensive knowledge of post operative recovery for necks, backs, shoulders, hips, knees, ankle and foot procedures.  

In 2012 I joined one of our community teams working for the NHS in Sheffield. Here I gained experience of supporting acutely ill people at home providing medical management to avoid admission to hospital. We worked on specific goals to restore an individuals independence and increasing their ability to remain safe in their own home,  providing therapy, referrals for equipment, adaptations and social services for care if needed. Supporting early discharge from hospital was another key aspect of this work helping people to return home in a timely fashion when medical well enough and remain safe in their home environment. I was a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist working alongside and managing other physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapist and rehab assistants. 

In 2019 to present day I moved to work as a First Contact Physiotherapist in local Gp surgeries around Sheffield managing complex musculoskeletal patients providing therapy intervention, assessment and screening for hospital referrals, ongoing therapy, Gp referrals and referral to other appropriate healthcare professionals in the wider community.
